Vision

  • We will be defined by the strength of our people. Our team will include recognized thought leaders whose expertise shapes technical direction within the programs they support and influences the broader professional community. We will cultivate deep technical mastery and reward those who advance the discipline through meaningful contribution.
  • SoundWay Tech will stand as a leading force in Government technology across federal, state, and local markets.
  • Our responsibility will extend beyond the work itself. We will act as careful stewards of the public resources entrusted to us and as responsible members of the communities in which we operate. We will contribute time, expertise, and support in ways that strengthen those communities, recognizing that our success and theirs are closely connected.

Mission

Our mission is to help our clients succeed and our team excel by delivering practical technology solutions that strengthen Government programs. We leverage technology to address defined challenges, reduce risk, and improve how systems operate in practice. We focus on outcomes that make systems more secure, more reliable, and better positioned to carry out their intended function. We focus on outcomes that strengthen security, improve reliability, and ensure systems perform as intended.

Background

  • Diane founded SoundWay Consulting to deliver practical, accountable technology and advisory services across both Government and commercial markets. As those lines of business evolved, they required different structures, investment priorities, and strategies for growth. Government contracting and commercial cybersecurity services operate under fundamentally different procurement models, performance expectations, and sustainment requirements.
  • The Government contracting practice has moved into SoundWay Tech. The commercial cybersecurity and compliance practice remained under SoundWay Consulting as a subsidiary. This restructuring preserved continuity of contracts and personnel while separating practices that require different operating models and growth strategies.
  • SoundWay Consulting was subsequently acquired by Koniag Cyber and now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of that organization.
  • SoundWay Tech was formed from the Government contracting practice originally established under SoundWay Consulting, founded in 2018 by Diane Hahn Bellegarde.

Name and Heritage

  • For SoundWay Tech, the name and its heritage continue to matter. They reflect a connection to purpose and place, and a reminder of the foundation on which the organization was built.
  • The name SoundWay comes from the street where Diane grew up — SoundWay Drive on the North Shore of Long Island, New York — and the experiences that shaped her early life. As a child, she spent long days at the beach with family and friends, surrounded by seagulls, swimming, exploring, and building memories that would influence her values and perspective.
  • Diane first painted the SoundWay seagull in high school for an art class project, and she continued drawing it over the years. When she decided to start a company, she chose the name SoundWay and the seagull as symbols that pay homage to the people, places, and moments that meant the world to her.
